Every treatment starts with a clinical examination. The vet checks your pet from head to tail, asks how it eats, how it behaves and how long the problem has lasted, and decides whether tests are needed.

A wellness check is for healthy animals: once a year, together with vaccination, is enough for most dogs and cats.

Examination prices

Dog or cat 20 €, rodent 10 €, follow-up 15 €, consultation without the animal 10–15 €, orthopaedic examination 40 €, out-of-hours examination 60 €.

We give all core dog vaccines (Puppy DP, DHP, DHPPIL, DHPPIL+R), rabies, ringworm and kennel cough vaccines. For cats: RCP, RCPCh FeLV, rabies and ringworm. We also vaccinate rabbits.

With every vaccine the vet examines your pet and tells you when the next dose is due. Parasite control can be done at the same visit.

Vaccine prices

Rabies 20 €. Combined dog vaccines 25 € to 45 €, cat vaccines 30 € to 45 €. Rabbit vaccine 15 €.

To travel abroad a dog or cat needs a microchip, a passport and a valid rabies vaccination. We implant the microchip and register it with the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (25 €), issue the international pet passport (25 €) and a health booklet (7 €).

The clinic has its own X-ray unit. Images are taken for lameness, after an injury, for coughing, when a swallowed foreign body is suspected and before some operations. They are ready straight away and the vet discusses them with you on the spot.

Ultrasound shows the abdominal organs: liver, kidneys, bladder, intestines and uterus. It is painless and usually needs no sedation. It also confirms pregnancy.

Abdominal ultrasound 30 €, pregnancy diagnosis 20 €.

Complete blood count (20 €), biochemistry, urinalysis, skin scrapings and rapid tests. The pre-anaesthetic panel, biochemistry plus a complete blood count, is 45 €.

We also test hormones (T4, cortisol, progesterone), pancreatic lipase, inflammation markers, antibody titres after vaccination, the Knott test for heartworm and the feline triple test.

Neutering is done in the clinic operating theatre, under anaesthesia and with monitoring. Most animals go home the same day.

Cat neutering prices

Male cat 90 €, female cat 130 €, anaesthesia included. A surcharge applies for a cat in heat or an overweight cat.

Dog neutering prices

Male dog from 110 € (up to 10 kg) to 190 € (over 40 kg). Female dog from 160 € (up to 15 kg) to 240 € (over 40 kg). Anaesthesia included.

General and abdominal surgery: wounds, hernias, fistulas, stomach and intestinal surgery for swallowed foreign bodies, bladder stones, caesarean section, pyometra and mastectomy. Head surgery: entropion, cherry eye, enucleation, palate repair and aural haematoma.

Anaesthesia is chosen according to the species and weight of the animal, inhalation or intravenous, with monitoring.

Bad breath, red gums and tartar lead to pain and infections. We scale and polish teeth for dogs (from 50 €) and cats (50 €), extract deciduous and permanent teeth, and file and trim teeth with a micromotor for rabbits and rodents.

Itching, hair loss, spots and skin lesions have different causes: parasites, fungi, allergies, hormones. A skin scraping (10 €) and a ringworm culture (20 €) help find the cause. Dermatology is a special interest of Dr Mario Greshkov.

Vomiting, diarrhoea, loss of appetite, lethargy, frequent urination, coughing. Problems with digestion, kidneys, liver, heart and hormones, as well as infections such as parvovirus. They are treated with an accurate diagnosis. This is Dr Evgeni Shopov’s field.

When an animal needs a drip or monitoring it stays in the clinic, in separate rooms for dogs and for cats. We place IV catheters, give fluids and oxygen and perform blood transfusions.

Pregnancy diagnosis, caesarean section, treatment of pyometra and mastectomy for mammary tumours. If a birth is not going well, call us straight away.

At reception we stock food for dogs and cats and veterinary diets for kidney, gut or skin problems. The vet will tell you which one suits your pet.
